Learn moreBoys Town Jerusalem is a unique “community of youth” founded in 1948 as a visionary response to the loss of a generation of Jewish children in the Holocaust and as a haven for the children of the masses of immigrants to the new Jewish State. Serving a population of primarily disadvantaged boys from every segment of Israeli society, Boys Town performs the vital mission of integrating them into the social and economic fabric of everyday life and providing the skills and education that will enable them to become productive citizens.
Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach that stresses academics, technology, religious studies and ethics, Boys Town seeks to “turn young boys from limited backgrounds into young men with limitless futures”. Today over 800 students, many with special social, psychological and emotional needs not addressed within the mainstream of Israel’s educational system reside on the school’s 18-acre campus in the Bayit Vegan neighborhood of Jerusalem overlooking the fabled Judean Hills.
